Priority Areas for the 2012 Responsive Grants Program

Community Memorial Foundation’s mission is to measurably improve the health of people who live and work in the western suburbs of Chicago. The Responsive Grants Program is one of the focus areas that helps to improve health, and does this by being responsive to the changing needs of our communities, and supporting innovative efforts and programs to meet the needs of Community Memorial Foundation’s 27 communities.

For 2012, the CMF Board of Directors has approved the following programmatic priorities for the Responsive Grants Program:

  • To provide basic needs to individuals and families such as the provision of food, shelter, household items.
  • To provide services for domestic violence and sexual assault victims.
  • To provide access to direct integrated primary healthcare services including physical, behavioral, and/or oral healthcare to the uninsured/underinsured people.
  • To provide services to break down the barriers to accessing health care (i.e., language, benefits coordination).

The deadline to submit grant proposals for the Responsive Grants Program’s 2012 Spring Cycle is by 5:00 PM on Monday, April 2nd (since 3/31 falls on the weekend).

The deadline to submit grant proposals for the Responsive Grants Program’s 2012 Fall Cycle is by 5:00 PM on Monday, October 1st (since 9/30 falls on the weekend).

CMF accomplishes its vision of a healthy community by all of us working together.  If you would like to discuss whether your program/service would qualify under the above priority areas, please call Deb Kustra at 630-654-4729, or email at dkustra@cmfdn.org.
